Sunday afternoon while watching television, a commercial
for Old Navy came across my screen highlighting Black Lives Matter. This is deeply disturbing
to me since the leader of this subversive organization is an open Marxist. I am thinking that GAP companies have ill-informed ignorant people working there.
I am hoping I am totally wrong thinking that GAP companies would support such
an anti-American organization touting and demonstrating outward violence and rioting towards our citizens, our government, our freedom, and our country. GAP and its subsidiaries seem to want to feel they represent that Ralph Lauren type of American look. Clearly Marxism/Communism is not supportive of American life in any way.
If you DO NOT SUPPORT this organization, I strongly suggest and respectfully request that you pull any and all commercials that tout BLM and KEEP POLITICS OUT OF FASHION.
Lastly, you should be aware that I am not the only person that noticed this ad. It is being talked about - and not in a good way. All large companies think they are immune to failure. However, many companies that have made unwise decisions have disappeared. I can tell you this, I won't be shopping your products any time soon. I know of at least thirty other people that feel the same. You know what "they" say - for every actual complaint made, there are about 2500 others that feel the same but don't take the time to actually report.
Shame on you. That's one of the best things about America - we have the freedom to choose. You're not the only game in town.Anonymous

I agree with you. I have seen that ad 3 times this morning and it upsets me every time. In their quest to show they are a "woke" company, Gap Inc. is supporting BLM in their ads. As you say the leader and founder of BLM, Patrice Cullors, is a self admitted Marxist. The head of the NY chapter of BLM says they want to abolish the nuclear family and "burn down" the system. I assume he means capitalism which seems contrary to how Gap Inc.corporation makes money. Without capitalism, Gap would not exist. Gap is advocating for its own demise. They are near bankruptcy now. Concentrating on making a quality product would help them remain in business. The quality at Gap, BR and ON has been going down for years. They are using more synthetic, cheap materials in their clothing. Most of the styles at Gap look like shapeless bags and are not flattering at all. BR offers one product all year long, merino wool sweaters. ON sweaters are made of such cheap yarns that they pill after one wearing. Their jeans, despite containing spandex, stretch out and become baggy after the first wash. Since the quality of their clothing has declined and they started offering political opinions, I will no longer shop Gap or any of its related companies. i have had a Gap Visa for over 20 years that I will be cancelling.
