I purchased an MVWB765FW3 and a MCDB765FWo-washer and dryer. When they delivered the units, they had to take the dryer back to the store as it had a loud thumping noise, something was hitting the side of the unit.
For the washer, I was trying to get used to the updated unit as I had a very old one. I actually watched the washer fill up with water. Since it doesn't use much when it sensors the water level, I put it on deep fill. The first time it filled all the way up to the top past the agitator. I called the store to ask if this was normal. They weren't sure. The next time I tried the deep fill it overflowed. So glad I was standing there as I had minimal amount of water to clean up. Could have been a flood if I had walked away. I called the store and they brought me another one. However, these units suck. At the normal setting on the washer, if I don't want to use the deep fill, it literally only puts about 2 inches of water at the bottom of the tub. I actually have to add
a bucket of water either at the beginning or at the rinse cycle as there just is not enough.
As for the dryer, unless there is a heavy or large load, the unit shuts off before clothes are dry. I have to keep starting it several times. I am embarassed that "Made in the USA" stickers are on the units. It sure doesn't say much for the engineers and the manufacturers in our country. Shame on you Maytag. Just read all of these comments about your products. If I could afford to, I would put these units out on the road and go buy the brand I had before but I have only had these less than a year.Anonymous

I am calling Maytag customer service today. I just called Lowe's to see if i could return to get refund after having for 3 months and they gave me run around. I was told I have to call Lowe's repair and have them come out and address the issues of the washer I purchased. And maybe after that if repair guy thinks i should have a refund, they will contact Maytag. My washing machine doesn't clean clothes completely. Still looks dirty after washed. Shakes and vibrates with washes. Makes too much loud noise. Any I have agitator that my clothes are completely wrapped in knot when done. It should be my choice to return when I'm completely dissatisfied, not someone to decide if that's possible. My machine doesn't run right and I shouldn't keep making payments on something that doesn't clean clothes properly. I opened a Lowe's card for these appliances and I wish I never bought them. Now I will probably be fighting for a full refund.
