I am very disappointed in Best Western reservations. I stayed at the Best Western Santina in Rome Italy. The reservation clerk booked a completely new reservation when I called to check on the dates of the reservation. This cost me an additional $180.00. I have tried going through BW's customer service, but they were not helpful. I would like some form of compensation for this error. BTW, I have been a BW rewards member since 2000.
DO NOT even think about staying at the best western sure stay PLUS in Tarboro north Carolina it is the pits!!! No running water, tools and an over turned vacuum were in the eating area, fifth place. This place also has the nerve to charge my credit card after we decided to check out immediately after we saw all of this.
We were recently at your hotel located at 3050 University Parkway in Winston Salem North Carolina last weekend for our convention and we were very disappointed with our stay. We travel a lot throughout the year and this was our first and unfortunately last experience with Best Western. The beds in our room were very uncomfortable and so were the pillows. There were no comforters on the beds, only one thin blanket. When we asked for extra soap, blankets, or towels we had to go down to the front desk to pick them up. When we arrived we noticed that half of the electrical outlets and lights did not work in our room. We called down to the front desk and they told us there was nothing they could do about it except switch us to another room late at night because maintenance was not in at the time. They never followed up with us. The breakfast buffet was not properly staffed and things were not replenished. The food was also cold. When we were checking out we were not given the option of splitting the bill. Our credit card was already charged and she could not back into it to change the bill. She told us that her computer and printer wasn't working properly so she could not give us a receipt. She said that she would email it and yet we have not received it.
Your facility in Potomac Mills has very poor customer service. We were checking out and they had to check our room so we could get our deposit back so. 1st. Housekeeping wasn't there yet so she just got someone they said they smelled smoke WHICH WE DID NOT SMOKE IN.. so she just said sorry you can't have your deposit back she wouldn't call a manager she was very horrible so NEEDLESS TO SAY THEY ARE NOTHING CROOKS THAT PRETTY MUCH JUST STOLE OUR 200 DOLLAR DEPOSIT.
I FEEL VERY DISAPPOINTED AS I SPENT TIME AT THE SAME BEST BEST WESTERN I HAD BEEN GOING TO FOR AWHILE , THEY NEVER GAVE ME THE POINTS TO COLLECT FOR A FREE ROOM AT ALL, ONCE IT CHANGED OWNERS THINGS GOT UGLY--
AND THE LAST TIME SOMEONE HAD THEM DO FRIGHTENING THINGS, IT'S NOT A NICE PLACE ANYMORE NEAR COSTA MESA. WHEN I WENT THERE WITH MY KIDS AND MY HUSBAND DID NOT GO THIS TIME .
IT WAS STRANGE THEY WAY THEY ACTED. VERY DISAPPOINTING.
