    I'm not a blue shield member, but today I saw two commercials promoted by blue shield that truly touched me. One was dedicated to the front line workers in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic and other about the inequality/racism crisis facing people of color in particular Black people in America. I join you in acknowledging and validating the tireless, dedicated and necessary work being done day by all of our frontline workers. They are our heroes and deserve and have earned our support. I salute every one of them. Also, bravo to the person or team at Blu Shield that understands the struggle and hears the cry for justice & equality by so many in these United States and around the world. I have to tell you, I got a little emotional, but not in s sad way but rather a proud way. Thank you Blue Shield for showing your heart, your compassion, your support and solidarity for such a vital cause at the most critical time.     Good Morning my name is Robert Copp I was called by an agent for insurance I was told the monthly premium was around 23.00 a month and the deductible was 950.00 well I have cancer COPD diabetes and a huge hernia in my belly yesterday March 16th 2020 I received some really bad news from blue cross blue shield that because I didn't fill out and return a income verification form or answer any phone calls that I lost my discount of 650.00 a month I did not receive such paperwork or received any phone calls now if I want to keep my insurance you want 675.00 a month with a 7500.00 deductible. Without this insurance I'm going to die if this letter was so important why was it not sent so I would have to sign for it I was using a clinic for medical help and was not getting cared for just because of a piece of paper you and blue cross blue shield are going to let me die please give me my original policy back thank you

    Agreed. Same here. I was on the phone with them for 2 hours today and still did not find a resolution to my employers issue. Even on a personal level, the plans are outrageous now. They only want to collect money from consumers while providing a **** service.

    I have trying to get medical coverage with Carefirst since September of last year. I moved from Washington DC to Maryland and my application has been closed 4 times. I have faxed, Mailed and sent thru the portal and just received another notfication my application closed due to lack of receipt of required documentation. I verified it was uploaded in the portal. Followed up with multiple calls, emails.

    I need someone to assist with this issue to assist with my application and receipt of documentation.

    You CAN get out of your plan, ANYTIME! You CAN enroll in another plan. I was tired of getting scammed

    by the "Advantage plan". It ends being too expensive!

    I checked around, and went with the original Medicare Plan A&B with Supplement G. It covers everything but the $185 once a year deductible on plan B. Every bill I have received in 2019 from Humana was for $000!!

    And you cannot beat that!

    This company refused to approve my CHILD for a breast reduction! Her super large **** were caused by Respiridal (for ADHD), STARTING at age 8. She now needs a JJ cup, which we cannot buy, and she can only wear a man's 3X shirt - really cute, huh!!

    She cannot bathe or wash her hair by herself, nor reach her feet to put on shoes or socks, she has grown up with NO friends, and is teased by boys, girls and grown women alike. Only the grown men have refrained from maling comments, thanks, guys!

    She is ashamed to be seen in public. Thanks, Blue Cross!!

    Your company keeps calling me with robo calls. I'm writing the numbers down and recording them. I am going to keep you in court with motion after motion and bad press to follow. I wouldn't ever use, nor recommend your company to anyone just because of the constant harassment. Make it stop or the motion for immediate relief is being mailed. And a media storm of negative publicity is eminent.

    Hi my name is Ernest & I have to say all insurance company are just blood sucking animals, u know in 2011 I was told I had cancer & after I was given that crappy news I was told since I had no insurance I had to leave the hospital due to no insurance, now I have 2 different insurances where now I'm being told that they can't help me cause I'm not in there network, now that was just my summary, now to this crappy blue Cross blue shield I took my children the dentist & the dentist is letting me know this needs to be done & no matter what they have been told they denied it, filed an appeal they claimed they never received it, the dentist filed an appeal as well they didn't care denied this is a truly sad insurance company that shouldn't be in business

    This company is awful! I am a senior citizen with a supplemental plan through Blue Cross shield of Minnesota. I have a very long legal name with two last names. My claims are sent to Medicare correctly with my first name the initial of my second name and my full last name. Social Security knows me as my full first name for second name fall last name and also as my full First name initial of my middle name and my full last name. Blue Cross Blue Sheild will not pay my doctor bills unless Social Security submitted under my name as showing on my Social Security card. Even though it comes from social security with my full name on it, and it is my legal name, it will not pay it. Consequently every month I have to call The doctors office up and have them re-submit it directly to Blue Cross Blue Sheild as my name states on my Medicare card.

    I asked for the email address of the president of the company Craig E Smallet.....Nana could be provided. Blue Cross Blue Sheild Customer Service said they will definitely put in a complaint for me. Because their system cannot handle both legal names. I know I won't receive any kind of help. That a go into some black hole.

    I am going to request a different company next year.

    That employees who provide information cannot be found later to verify is very important, yes. Here Ms. Ross tried to get information, someone named Lea should have helped her and apparently did not, and Ms. Ross has no way to trace who this employee was. She cannot prove anything. The employees of BCBS who do their jobs incorrectly or who do not do their jobs at all cannot be found, so BCBS can more easily deny wrong-doing. It's very important, when you have a problem with a company (especially when dealing with an issue as one's health) that you get the pertinent information as it will help force the company to do the right thing even if it is in their financial interest to do otherwise.

    I am a Blue Cross Blue Shield member of Illinois and moved to Michigan (Medicare also) no one told me that I would not be covered if I was hospitalized I carry blue cross select F. Now I am going thru hell because in order to Chang e to Michigan I would have to pay double for the coverage.i can't get anyone to help me.

    I am from a providers office and EVERY TIME I call with additional questions regarding an EOB for clarification your claims dept REFUSE to answer any of my questions. Blue has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE of any of the payers out there. I hate having to deal with blue

    I think that ppl need to complain to their human resources so that when renewal time comes they can choose another payer. Blues customer service is horrific.
