I have been an American Express member since approx. 1975, my father also held personal and corporate cards since 1962.
American Express was always our card of choice, personal and corporate. Now that we have sold the business, my father has died, I am retired, I find that as the years pass by, more businesses request that we pay with credit cards other than AMEX. For various reasons, some beyond my comprehension. This has occurred more frequent that I care to remember, it does trouble me most of the time, specifically as I travel and recall that over 40 years in business all I ever needed was my American Express Card anywhere in the world. The credit cards I do carry days, have no annual fees, but my AMEX is $195.00 a year. I do not pay late; I do not ask for extensions. I do not spend like I used to years back but would like to depend on American Express once again as my number one credit card in my wallet. I only carry one American Express, one Master Card and one Visa. The question I have is: How do we eliminate the annual charge without terminating our business with American Express? Your reply would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely. Francisco GonzalezAnonymous
