Attention corporate:
I have been working for Ross for about 5 years now as a sales floor associate. I pretty much have knowledge in all departments of the store and have also been key carrier and front end supervisor. My concern is more of a safety concern. Since stores have been opening I have been supporting the stock team in my store as well as in other stores and these stock rooms are very small so the 6 ft distance rule is had to adhere especially in these small areas of the store. I know we want to get merchandise into the store but when the distribution center sends out more freight than before the pandemic it's overwhelming when you have 12 associates in stock at once and it's impossible to be 6ft away from each other. There are employees all the time going in and out. I am just saying please be considerate of us employees especially stock associates because we don't even use gloves when receiving the truck or rolling out merchandise and these items get touched many times by different people. Send less merchandise in a day just for our safety. Honestly there should only be 6 associates in stock at a time or even less because management also enters to do their MOS or employees enter stock when they need to process return z-racks or return mini hummers. Safety is our number 1 concern and I strongly suggest for corporate to look into this thoroughly. I don't want to find out I become positive in covid-19 due to not adhering to the 6ft rule while working. It isn't the employees fault or management, it's how much freight is being brought to stores, it's ridiculous.Anonymous

One more thing that everything in stock has to be timed and I think that should be taken off for right now just because sometimes when we roll out HOME-hardlines and there are customers around we need to go to a different isle or take the mini hummer back to stock. I also think the process of the truck should be longer than 4.5 hours because right now it's impossible sometimes to finish these truck loads in that given time. There should be more payroll given to stores so they can have associates stay a full shift in stock but only 6 to get the truck done and if needed more then a second group can come in later when the first group leaves, at least in my opinion.
