The same thing happened to me a couple of years ago. I returned the box and paid the balance owed only to find they sent me to collections for ~$370. I wasn't able to find my records showing that I had returned box and paid the balance because I was in a remodel with everything packed in boxes. I ended up paying cornerstone and only recently found the records. If they're unwilling to make this right, (repay the amount I had to pay to collections, plus a fair amount of interest reflecting the negative affect on my credit score, the time I spent taking care of this and,a corporate penalty) I will be the first to sign up for a class action law suit. GCI is taking advantage of their customers and we need to fix that!
Gci is the worst!!!! First they combine all bills into one bill and now I have 3 separate bills!!! To only 1 bill I have received in the mail!! I cannot wait to end my contract with Gci!!!

I have HORRIBLE service neither my husbands phone or my phone get service majority of the time my internet crashed right after tech was out here and replaced the box on the side of my house because it was crashing I have told MULTIPLE people(I have names) to have Richard the manager call me like they said he would 3 weeks ago and no call yet lol I have so so so many screen shots of call fails and have heard ever excuse oh your on the wrong tower, oh a hill is blocking the tower,your phone runs on internet, your in a dead zone your lucky to even be able to make a call, my favorite one is it's working as expected(this is fraud then) you don't pay for talk and text so we can't credit your account what exactly do I pay for then I have been doing this for close to 3 years and it has just become progressively worse I really don't think I will be renewing my contract and will not recommend ANYONE to you this is insane there's a lot more to the story this is just a quick summary

I HAVE CALLED NOW 10 TIMES IN THE LAST 2 MONTHS (ALL DOCUMENTED) JUST TO GET MY VOICE MAIL SET UP FOR MY LAND LINE. IT IS RIDICULOUS. I KEEP BEING LIED TO ABOUT WHEN IT IS GOING TO BE FIXED. THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND WHOEVER IS RUNNING YOUR TECH DEPARTMENT SHOULD BE FIRED AS OBVIOUSLY CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT A PRIORITY!!!!!!!!!
I decided to stop being abused by GCI in October of 2017. Exorbitant cost, ZERO customer care and constant cable outages. It's simply easier to go with Apple TV. I returned my cable boxes in October of 2017 and am now in collections at Cornerstone Collection Agency for almost $1200.00, because GCI says I never returned the boxes. Pamela T and Roger Baird of the Wasilla location have found where I DID return the boxes in October and show a constant e-mail record to GCI collections telling that I had done so and yet I get no resolution. I suppose it's now time a civil lawsuit with GCI to try and get someone's attention. Where is all the MANAGMENT???
GCI hired a Russian company with no experience to create their billing system and the hired Stongbridge to deliver, a consulting firm that hires H1B, this should give you an idea of the quality and mentality of GCI, a waste of our money down the toilet as one manager told me they will have to redo the work in two years.
I am getting tired of talking to your employees that talk to me like I am stupid. I would like to talk to a higher up that can fire managers and make changes.
