What can I say?!
Houzz has a very nice website design and looks all legit. Well, it is up until you order something from them and you get "crap" or misleading description.
I've been seeing their advertising and receiving their emails for years. I always thought it was a nice company because of all the beautiful projects they post on their website, and I believe that is all great. However, their shopping website can be shady!
I ordered a faucet that claims to be metal, under their description, but it is all plastic. I tried to return it and started the process through their website and they keep charging me fedex to return it. Wait a minute!!! It is not my fault if you mislead customer with false description of the item. I should pay nothing to return!
My second item in the same order was a vanity. It looks really nice on the picture. It came well packet, but when I opened the box, OMG, it was horrible. Mismatching color paint, scratches and dents. Very poor product! I would never imagined that they would represent something so low quality!
The 3rd item in the same order was a towel holder bar. It was crooked! I decided to give a chance to the manufacturer to replace it. We'll see!
I've written 2 emails about the return fee, but never got a reply. It has been 10 days. HOUZZ never again!Anonymous

Now is where I just HAVE to say something once again about this "shady" ( I would love to use another S word) company.
Do you know where they get all those beautiful pictures on their web site? From interior designers, builders and architects who pay to be exposed to people who need home furnishings. They then ask us to identify the furniture and accessories we used in photo. Ever notice that little green tag telling you the price and what it is? They put that up once they identify the item. Then they sell it to you not me. Not one penny comes to the designer. When I think of it..I really think a class action suit is in order here. Any law firms out there?
