Less than one month after buying my conair turbo extreme steam handheld fabric steamer, it suddenly spurted very hot water all over my hand, burning me and causing me to drop the steamer. I almost fell slipping on the water that was on the floor as I ran to the kitchen to put ice on my burnt hand. A small part of the steamer's plastic broke off, but not any part that would keep it from working. I later refilled it with distilled water and tried to use it again,, The same thing happened., Dangerous water spewing out even over the towel I had wrapped around my hand. So I have a dangerous and useless steamer. Don't buy this! You could get badly burned.
So i called customer service on Sunday 4/28l the made a claim after 30 minutes on call.Told me I would hear from claims in 2 days, called back Tuesday and was told
i would be contacted in 2=3 days. Called today, Thursday and was told by a very rude manager it would be 15=20 business days and that
i dad been :"misinformed" on two previous calls.
i . so called again trying to get to corporate and was passed to customer service. At first she gave me the same 2-3 day story, She said it was a the top of her clsim form. WHen I told her to look further because I was previously told that was "misinformation.", she then came back with the 15 t0 20 business days story. What a runaround. So i
i have a broken unit and I'm just stuck with it.Anonymous

Tracy, take them to court. I Have a defective product also. Conair does not empower their Customer Service to truly resolve problems. My device is a fire hazzard due to design. It works great. But if it catches on fire and someone gets injured. They will be dealing with my lawyer as I already called, was on hold for 24 minutes and was told they could do nothing, but gave me corporate"s phone number.
